This place is the real deal. My car ignition stopped; turns out the cylinder tumbler(s) were worn. When I tried a couple of other places first, they shied away once they found out the year, make, and model. One of those places suggested Hoernel; which ironically next on my list. Expecting to hear another "I can't help you."; I was told to bring it on in. They squared me away with a price that was over $100 cheaper than going to a mechanic. I got a new ignition AND 2 brand new keys! Again, this place is the real deal. If you're reading this, do yourself a favor, look no further, you've found the right place.

Brett arrived here on time and professionally installed new locks on all of our exterior doors. The hardware is high quality, Brett's work was very professional, and he was a joy to talk with. Our dogs really enjoyed the experience also. Highly recommend Hoernel!!!

I wish to highly recommend Hoernel Key Shop, Racine, WI for the excellent service they provided for me today. Not only did they find time to fit me in on short notice, but Brett Widenski was extremely polite and kind enough to check my other door and advised me I would be having the same issue as the one he'd just fixed. He made it my call as to whether I wanted it fixed now or wait until it broke which would result in another service call. All I can say is they were Prompt, Honest, Professional and very reasonably priced!

I was there on 12/30/2020 i had to get a new key/FOB combo for my F150. Also had to get a new key for the stupid My key function. Every thing worked out well. new key works just fine and price was pretty reasonable compared to other locksmith places. Great Place!
